Ecogeomorphology Course
Watershed Center Director Jeff Mount (Geology) and Associate Director Peter Moyle (Wildlife, Fisheries and Conservation Biology), co-teach the Dept of Geology's Ecogeomorphology Course. This course offers advanced undergraduate students from a broad range of disciplines the opportunity to study watershed issues in multidisciplinary teams. The course culminates each summer with an extended field trip to the watershed where field experiments are conducted. Field sites for past courses have included:
- Green River, Utah and Colorado, 2006
- Grand Canyon, Arizona, 2005
- Skeena River, British Columbia, 2004
- Scott River, Northern California, 2003
- Copper River, Alaska, 2002
Funding for the course has been provided by the Roy Shlemon Chair in Applied Geosciences and the University of California Presidential Chair in Undergraduate Education.
