Environmental Hydrology Monitoring Internship Program

The Yolo County Flood Control and Water Conservation District (the District) sells water to farmers in Yolo County and has an open position for the Environmental Hydrology Monitoring Internship Program  Aggie Job Link ID # 705187). 

The District’s Environmental Monitoring Internship Program is open to college students or recent graduates in the fields of engineering, chemistry, biology, computer science and other technical fields. Field duties may include well water level measurements and water quality sampling, ground and surface water quality measurements, open channel flow measurements in canals and streams, and maintenance of telemetry and electronic monitoring equipment at our dams and other structures. Lab and office duties may include maintaining a small wet lab and measuring samples, posting data to the web, and using our internet based Water Resources Information Database. A driver’s license is required. Long hours in the summer heat may be required. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
 
The Environmental Monitoring Internship Program is a summertime job lasting approximately 3 months. Pay range is from $14-$18/hour.
