Bio
I'm a PhD student in the Civil & Environmental Engineering department. As part of my MS research, I used hydrodynamic models to quantify the impact of river restoration projects on salmonid habitat. Stemming from this project, I co-developed software for assessment and design of river restoration projects.
Currently, I am modeling the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta to help understand contaminant transport in this region. I also work with autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), using them to study turbulence associated with physical processes in lakes and their ecological implications.
In addition to my academic interests, I enjoy rock climbing, splitboarding, chess, and classical guitar.
