Sarah joined the Lusardi Lab as a Junior Specialist and Lab Manager in spring of 2023. She is involved in a variety of projects studying salmonid habitat in riverine and estuarine systems and is broadly interested in quantifying anthropogenic impacts on aquatic food webs and identifying conservation priorities for sensitive species.

Sarah earned her bachelor’s degree in environmental science from the University of St. Thomas in 2020. During her time there, she collaborated with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources to study how fish stocking and invasive species impact lake food webs using C-N stable isotope and diet analyses. Prior to CWS, Sarah worked as an aquatic toxicology researcher with the Great Lakes division of the EPA and as a salmon biology field technician in Southeast Alaska. When not in the lab or field, she enjoys camping, mushroom hunting, and film photography.
