Position Title
Junior Specialist

Bio

During my time at UC Davis, I started work at the Stable Isotope Facility as a student assistant, weighing out standards for analyses. After two years of work at that lab and graduating with a B.S. in Wildlife, Fish, and Conservation Biology, I joined the JJ lab at CWS as the resident isotopic analyst. My position as a Junior Specialist focuses on both preparing samples from Chinook salmon eye lenses as well as completing the elemental analysis of these samples. Our data helps in guiding management decisions surrounding salmon positions by investigating life histories, ecology, and habitat use. I also enjoy the opportunity to help our team in hatchery sampling efforts and other field projects.
