Bio
Tyson is broadly interested in factors that sustain and limit the distribution and productivity of fishes in stream ecosystems. He has conducted and assisted with experimental and observational studies to evaluate factors that influence habitat quality, behavior, and productivity in stream fishes. Currently, Tyson is a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Watershed Sciences working with Drs. Robert Lusardi and Sarah Yarnell to investigate how habitat restoration efforts affect prey availability and foraging conditions for salmonid fishes in streams throughout Northern California.
