Chief of giant California Aqueduct to speak
The state’s water resources director Mark Cowin is scheduled to deliver the final talk in the Center’s California water policy speakers series on Monday, March 18. The topic is "California’s evolution towards integrated water management." The public is welcome to attend the 4:10 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. presentation at 1227 Haring Hall.
As Department of Water Resources Director, Cowin manages the state’s water supply, including operation of the State Water Project, the nation’s largest state-run water and power system. The SWP delivers water for more than 25 million Californians and about 750,000 acres of irrigated farmland.
