Christopher Cheechov honored for exceptional support of research
Congratulations, Christopher Cheechov, for your award for exceptional work supporting research administration from the UC Davis Office of Research!
Christopher Cheechov joined the Center for Watershed Sciences (Watershed) as a Financial Analyst in 2022. As many of you surely know, Christopher has continually demonstrated a thoughtful approach to research finance; his attention to detail, problem-solving, and commitment to helping our Center for Watershed Sciences team navigate the financial side of research have been invaluable. We are really very fortunate to have Christopher on our team – and we are also very grateful that the work Christopher does every day to keep our projects running smoothly is being formally recognized.
The On-the-Spot Award program celebrates employees who go above and beyond and have shown extra effort, creativity, innovation, teamwork, and/or leadership in carrying out their job responsibilities and in demonstrating the Office of Research’s mission, vision, and values. Awards may be given to individuals or teams in recognition of a significant one-time contribution to the unit or to the broader organization.
Many of us at Watershed rely on Christopher's extensive institutional knowledge to help us navigate the day-to-day workings at the University. Many of our PIs work very closely with Christopher to keep their accounts in working order and to make sure everything (and everyone!) is getting paid. We are so grateful to have him at Watershed!
