Roundtable Discussion 2/22: "Science in a Post Truth Era"

Please join the UC Davis Office of the Chancellor for the first first installment of a new roundtable discussion series, Dialogue and Discernment:

"Science in a Post-Truth Era"
Wednesday, Feb. 22
Vanderhoef Studio Theatre, Mondavi Center
2 - 4 p.m.

The series will provide opportunities for faculty, staff and students to come together “to discuss the promise and practice of addressing controversial issues through informed and rational dialogue and critical evaluation of ideas.”  Interim Chancellor Ralph J. Hexter will give introductory remarks, and Professor Deb Niemeier (Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and School of Education; former Director of the John Muir Institute of the Environment) will moderate the roundtable discussion and the dialogue with the faculty and the audience.

JMIE Director Benjamin Houlton will also participate in the roundtable discussion along with with Tessa Hill (E&PS), Joe Dumit (Anthropology, STS) and Veronica Morales (CEE).
