NPR's "All Things Considered": California's wet winter & the ecological benefits of activated floodplains.
California has experienced a series of severe storms and intense rainfall this year – but what are the benefits? Among the benefits include activated floodplains that are currently providing an abundance of food for juvenile salmon. Listen to Carson Jeffres, UC Davis Center for Watershed Science's Researcher, talk about the ecological advantages of activated floodplains on NPR's "All Things Considered".
