Project Description

One of the greatest outstanding questions to salmon management in the Central Valley of California is the extent to which restoring floodplains habitats will provide population-level benefits to salmon.  The relationship between restoration and salmon survival remains speculative despite decades of on-the-ground restoration. Understanding habitat diversity, food webs, and growth rates of juvenile salmon will provide critical information to better understanding habitat restoration, management, and flow actions in the Central Valley.
